It appears that the tax preparer made errors in computing my taxes as I received a notice of deficiency and am now ordered by the Division of Taxation of New Jersey to pay $877.00 including interest and fees for my 2021 tax filings When I reached out to him he said he said he was out of the country so our communication was through text and email. I would expect that if errors were made that the tax preparer would take lead on this and resolve it. The last text message I received was for ME to call and inform them of that the forms that were submitted and accepted through efile. This is all confusing to me, I don't see why I have to do anything as I paid for this service. Please advise.
