Imagine how I was shocked when informed the cost for preparing my return was $600.00 after my previous CPA had charged me $275.00 the previous tax year. You ask why I changed preparers? My previous CPA retired and sold his practice to Kristopher Stone, et al. If My returns were identical in preparation and number of schedules, actually my previous preparer provided additional services. I never laid eyes on Mr. Stone or had a conversation with him or did we speak about doing the various calculations and extraneous "services" that he felt the need to do. I.E. various "analysis". I am a former employee of The Internal Revenue Service (long time ago) but am never comfortable with doing my own returns. I cannot recommend Kristopher Stone !
