I have used Charles at Freedom Accounting & Tax Service for over 20 years. He has always been very attentive to my business doing my bookkeeping and taxes. He not only cares about my business but he takes the time to know me personally. He has helped myself and my family members. I would recommend Charles to everyone.

I have unresolved tax filings with this preparer and cannot leave a message, as there is an outgoing message that his voicemail box is not set up and he never answers his phone. I paid a large fee for his services and to date my taxes remain unfiled, as verified with the IRS and SOM. Next step is legal action, sadly. This is completely avoidable had he just returned my call.

I'm not surprised to see that there are one star reviews all over the place for this business (some from tax professionals cleaning up Charles' mess). I took my brother-in-law's advice (which I've never done and won't do again) and went to this guy (Charles) because he knew him somehow... some way... So I gave this unprofessional tax person my taxes over 5 weeks ago and have been trying to contact him ever since with no return phone calls (looks like I'm not the only one who's had this problem). I finally email him two days ago and tell him that I want my taxes done or I want him to send my taxes back to me or I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB if he doesn't do something by 4/3/15 (today). I get an e-mail this morning telling me that he's overnighting all of my paperwork back to me. Way to wait until the last day and leave me with nothing but anger towards you Charles. I won't file a complaint with the BBB because he is returning my stuff on the last day that I said that he had; however I'm definitely going to be writing a lot of reviews like this on other sites to warn others of his horrible service. My brother-in-law was bragging about how he gets people so much money back; now after reading Matt S' review (the tax professional with a review on Yelp) I can see that he's (allegedly) lying on tax forms for clients which can be really bad for my father-in-law because he runs a business - hope he doesn't get audited...
