Have been going to this guy for over 5 years. Thought it was going ok until there was a mix up with social security numbers with my son and husband in this accountants system that was never fixed. This caused the IRS to audit us. We sent him the paperwork and he "took care of it". We had no reason to suspect it would not be taken care of--until this year when we were audited again and over 3/4ths of our return was withheld due to owing the IRS for the mix up that this accountant "took care of". We have since tried to be in contact with him and have supplied all the necessary documentation to prove our taxes are legit, and it seems like he is just putting us off. Mind you, this was no fault of ours, but the social security numbers being switched in HIS system. This could have been taken care of had he filed the appropriate paperwork when we initially alerted him of this. Turns out, when he said he took care of it, he merely sent the IRS a letter. A LETTER. Not a form to fix the issue, but a letter. I am no accountant, but I know how the government works and a letter means nothing-- they need forms, documentation and proof. Now thousands of dollars are being held hostage as this guy "takes care of it". I will happily come back and edit this review if this issue is ever resolved. I would even take some sort of progress report. We have left messages, spoken to his secretary, and yet still no word from him.
