Horrible experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was my first visit to Kim Wochinski to have my tax return prepared. I brought my materials/information to her office in late March 2019, for preparation of my 2018 tax return. She acknowledged receipt of my materials by an email message saying she was not able to complete the return by April 15 and further was not able to file for an extension either because she said she did not have enough info to do that. So I filed for an extension myself. I did not hear from Kim again, despite numerous phone messages left for her and numerous emails, all unanswered for a period of months. Because I cannot reach her, I am not able to retrieve my materials in order to have a different preparer do my 2018 return, already late and accruing penalty fees. I even physically went to Kim’s office recently and found it locked and dark, although a peek in the windows showed a reception area and chairs. Their phone number is displayed prominently in the front window. If you will check the Better Business Bureau’s profile on Kim’s company, Conrad Craig & Martin, you will see that mine was not the first complaint that Kim and her company received, with exactly the same scenario as mine, i.e., failure to file a tax return on behalf of the client and then non-return of the materials/information provided by the client and then not responding to phone messages or emails left. The BBB gave the company an F rating. There are also complaints in this regard on Yelp and other review sites. From the BBB F rating plus the many negative reviews, It would appear that Kim Wochinski and her company Conrad Craig & Martin are in the habit of not completing tax returns and then ignoring clients’ calls and emails seeking return of the clients’ tax materials left with the company.
