Client Reviews of Brian Kennedy

I took my taxes into Brian in October of this year. It was short notice to him, but he did say he would be able to do them. I received a call on the 14th to tell me he would not be able to get them completed. I said I would file them myself and would like to pick up my paperwork that I needed and that I would pay for his time. I did not get a return call and after 5 calls I have not had a return call and am unable to get the paperwork I left with him. I had used Brian previously and he did a wonderful job. This experience has been a surprise to me.

I would have given no stars, but it wouldn't let me. My husband and I used Brian as our accountant for years, until we started getting an uneasy feeling that he wasn't really giving us his full attention and decided to have someone else prepare our taxes. Our new accountant found some mistakes that Brian had made. We tried contacting him several times to have him explain some things and we would either get no response or a very short response saying he would get back to us and never would. We got a notice from the IRS with a huge amount due ( huge to us ) because of Brian not filing an extension on our taxes. He continues to tell us he has proof of filing the extension, but will not provide it to us. My husband told him he would be coming into the office to pick up anything he has to show proof of filing and of course Brian wasn't in the office. I am now forced to hire an attorney to clear this up. He needs to be held accountable for his mistake!
