My father was convinced to use for tax preparation, just finding out his taxes were never filed, bad bad business, with zero call backs as to why they were never filed, I highly recommend not using this place of business for any financial decisions.

Third rate at best. They don't do what you ask. They do everything improperly. They didn't file for s-corp election and then told me I had to have received it and promised it was done multiple times. 2 years later and I'm still dealing with repercussions and damages caused by the Dahlens. Specifically Monica Dahlen. I have to pay for their errors to be fixed after I already paid for their services. do not use them for tax services unless you want bad service, and to pay for things to be done multiple times over seceral years to address all the incompetency they provided.

My family had a few conversations with Roy, but never signed anything or agreed in any way to work with him. He has sent millions of dollars in invoices for work he did not perform. MILLIONS of dollars. We are normal working people, we don’t even make that kind of money. He is impossible to get ahold of and very unprofessional. Please do a background check and check his credentials before working with him. You have been warned.

Just like the other two people who have left reviews, we keep calling Tia we message Tia we emailed Tia and weeks later we will hear from her saying she was sick. She was in the hospital. I think every member of her family has died or been in the hospital. Our money is always going to be a deposit. And of course it never is. She’s been in contact with the IRS. They have everything cleared up checks in the mail. No none of the above.

We hired Safwan Shoukfeh (S&S Accounting for accounting services and had a very disappointing experience. He was consistently unprofessional and difficult to work with. When we requested our corporate sales tax filings and payroll records-documents we should have had access to-he refused to provide them. We ultimately had to involve an attorney just to obtain our own records. In our experience, several of our tax filings were handled incorrectly, creating additional complications. He also made statements about our business valuation that were inaccurate and caused further confusion. Based on our experience, I would not recommend his services.

We retained Ms. Ozger for tax preparation and related services. Our experience revealed concerning patterns of professional misconduct. Throughout our engagement, Ms. Ozger consistently misrepresented the status of our matters. She provided detailed progress reports that we later discovered, through third-party verification, described work that had never been performed. When we sought confirmation of her claimed activities directly with the relevant agencies, we learned no contact had been made. Despite accepting substantial fees, Ms. Ozger failed to meet basic professional obligations. Critical deadlines passed without action. Scheduled appointments were routinely missed without notice or explanation. The resulting penalties and complications far exceeded the professional fees paid. Most troubling was the deliberate nature of the misrepresentations. This was not simple negligence or oversight. The elaborate and specific nature of the false updates suggests intentional deception. We cannot recommend Ms. Ozger's services. Potential clients should insist on independent verification of all work claimed and maintain extremely close oversight of any engagement. Our experience suggests that without such vigilance, you risk both financial loss and serious complications to your tax matters.

This man is a fraud and will use your personal information illegally. I'm being forced to give him a start because he doesn't deserve any. When you pay him, he will refuse to file your tax return. When he files it, getting your documents from him becomes a problem. It took him 6 months to give me my tax return back. I had to go over to his office to ask for my documents back, he tried to intimidate me with his gun. When I left his office, he filed an amendment with IRS on my behalf without my consent. I was so shocked when IRS sent me a $27,723 bill. I gave him my tax return on March 2025. According to IRS, he filed it on May 23 2025. IRS gave me refund of $458 on June 5th. On Sept 8th after I left his office to get my tax return back, he filed an amendment without my knowledge. PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. HE IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL UNETHICAL AND WILL USE YOU SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER ILLEGALLY

Absolutely terrible experience with Ricardo Z. Contreras. I’m honestly so disappointed and frustrated. I trusted him with this job, and what I got was sloppy, rushed, and completely below any reasonable standard. Nothing was done with care or attention to detail it honestly looked like something a beginner would do. I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt, but after seeing the final result, I just couldn’t believe I paid for this. The communication was poor, he didn’t take responsibility for mistakes, and there was zero professionalism. I’ve since had the same type of work done by another company, and the difference is night and day clean, organized, and done right the first time. I wouldn’t recommend Ricardo’s services to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company that actually values quality and customer satisfaction.

BEWARE! I am not one to leave bad reviews, but this is ridiculous. Kelly Pittard was recommended to me through Cherokee Connect on Facebook as a tax accountant for mine and my husband’s 2024 taxes and she completely dropped the ball. I reached out to her MANY times from April 15th 2025- November 6th 2025 checking on our taxes. She told me she has us on extension. I was extremely patient with her until the tax extension date of October 15th. She then stopped replying to text messages / not answering calls and told me she would call us and never did. I’ve seen learned she has done this to many other people.

I paid Benjamin to file my tax return and he never did. He also has never responded to over 30 attempts to contact him. I paid him and never heard from him again. Would strongly discourage anyone from using him

The work Jean did was for my CT-based small business, where my two partners reside. Jean did our business taxes for five years through 2025. She was extremely unresponsive and unprofessional. As the only out-of-state partner, I relied on her to provide our tax information in a timely manner, so that my local CPA could complete my personal taxes. Every year, without fail, I had to continually hound Jean for the LLC tax documents. Phone calls and text messages consistently went unanswered and, when she finally did answer, it was with empty promises to have the documentation to me by dates that ultimately just came and went without delivering it. The only time she was even remotely responsive is if my business partner actually went into her office. Even then, her promises often meant nothing. Every single year, I received my tax information from her within a week of the filing deadline, which caused my local CPA unnecessary urgency to get my taxes filed on time. I highly recommend that you go to anyone BUT Jean Piette. Our experience with her was horrible!

Prepared my 2023 and 2024 tax returns and emailed me copies. They were never reported to the IRS as the SS # listed on the returns was incorrect, which made no sense because he's done prior years of returns. When I called to have him look into it he said he'd look and get back to me. I received a notice of lien from the IRS which is what started this whole mess! After countless calls, texts and emails to him asking for an update I finally requested to be refunded for the tax prep fee and he ignored that as well. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON!!!

MY BOYFRIEND REFERED ME TO THIS HORRIBLE, THOUGHTLESS... TAX LADY! I GAVE HER ALMOST $600 DOLLARS TO DO MY 2023 & 2024 PERSONAL TAXES! SHE NEVER DID MY 2023 TAXES & KEPT MY MONEY! Great CPA to go to if you’re OK with having your taxes done late without a word from your accountant. From March 20 to April 24 he didn’t answer any of my text or email messages asking him how he was doing on getting my taxes done, except on April 18th he wrote “I’ll call you tomorrow” — he didn’t — and “I’ll be finished Monday” — he wasn’t. No other communication at all. My taxes are fairly complicated and he had all my history, so I didn’t love the idea of switching accountants when my taxes were already late. Without any further communication, he finally finished on the 24th. When he sent me the bill I told him I’d pay it when he told to me why he didn’t answer any of my messages nor even tell me he was working on it. He wouldn’t answer. He sent me several more bills and I repeated that I would pay when he answered my question. So he took me to court, knowing full well I had moved three hours away. In court when I repeated my question, literally all he would say was “I was busy.” Duh! Of course he was busy! And I was tearing my hair out! If this is the kind of tax experience you’re looking for, go for it. Otherwise…

This guy is a scammer. He will take your money and not do any accounting work and then ghost you. Find someone else to do your books.

Took payment, did not file taxes, and then disappeared

I worked with them for years, and it takes them weeks if not months to respond to any form of communication. I no longer work with them, and they are still affecting by bussness, not producing (or even responding to request)for information requesed by the irs and my new accountant/bookkeeping team.

Erica Bender is a thief. She is a liar and a scammer. She said that she would file my taxes and scammed me out of $700. Do not believe any story she tells you and do not file your taxes with her.

I am sadden by the way this company handles their work and how they handle a mistake that they made. I left a voice message and sent an email at the first of March with no response. I then called back and did get a return call and an appointment was set up. We spoke with Mr. Ray and stated that we were looking for a CPA to complete our tax return as we had some new items that we were unsure how to handle. We discussed all the information needed and we emailed all the information to him. We then get a call stating he didn't get the information. I told him we had gotten a confirmation and he then realized he did have it. I then get another phone call asking for a form that we missed sending and I explained we had no type form. They realized then that the form was needed for another return and not our return as they had all they needed for our return. I was given a quote at the first meeting in March. Then we get an email stating they would try to get it done by April 15th but would probably need to file an extension. Followed by an email that an extension would have to be filed. We had several questions about this and was told it would cost another $120-$180. We were actually charged $300 more when completed and there was nothing extra added and it appears when original quote was given they knew an extension was going to be filed. The return was completed the middle of March but was told it had to go through a recheck process before final release. On July 10th we received the return stating it was ready to be sent to the IRS and we signed all the forms. On the return we were to receive a refund, now imagine our surprise when we just received a letter from the IRS stating the return was incorrect and we now owe over $2000. I contacted Mr. Ray and a phone meeting was set up. Mr. Ray acknowledged that they had made a mistake and the IRS was correct in the return. Mr. Ray stated that they failed to check a box to count the Social Security and that was the error. He continued to apologize but felt their only responsibility to "make us whole" was to refund the amount of interest the IRS was charging. It was the manner in how their error was handled. When I expressed that I had paid over $1000 for them to complete our return and that I trusted our return to be completed correctly and professionally, he stated we signed the engagement letter and also that we signed that the return was correct and that we should have reviewed it for accuracy. If I know exactly how the info should be then why did I hire a CPA? I hired them because this is their job and they are supposed to know how to file this. Many, many individuals receive Social Security and they need to process these returns correctly or take responsibility which isn't just I'm sorry.
